We Changed Our Name!

Under an arbor, plants are cultivated and trained to grow in the way the structure is designed. They are shaded and guided to become what the designer intended. The growth now becomes the environment for others. It's a place of welcome people can see in, walk in, experience the benefit of the refuge.

At our church we are deeply committed to living our lives as God has designed in the Bible. The name “Stone Arbor” fit us so well because we want to grow as the designer intends and create space for people to come in and explore.

Stone Arbor Church is on a journey to transform the former and historic Riverside Swim & Tennis Club into a place where people can take their next steps with Jesus.

For the last 15 years, Stone Arbor has been a portable church, setting up and tearing down every week at the Orange Terrace Community Center. In 2020 we rallied together to purchase property in the heart of Riverside. Since then, we have been on a faith journey of making that campus our future church home. Currently, we have completed Phase 1 of the project which allows us to host our administrative offices, church events, and trainings on campus. We look forward in faith to Phase 2 and beyond which will allow us to move our Sunday worship services on site as well. Currently, our Sunday services are still held at our Orangecrest campus (Orange Terrace Community Center).

With the backing of city leaders, the generosity of the Stone Arbor family, and most importantly through God’s help, we are building our future church home. We intend to bring tremendous value to the Victoria Woods neighborhood as we renovate and occupy the corner of Glenhaven and Alessandro. Our Vision

Developing a church campus in the exact heart of Riverside gives us permanence and visibility; It communicates to our city and neighbors that we are here to stay, and they can count on us to be their church home for decades to come.

We envision this campus will be a tool that expands our capacity to… 

  • Serve and share Jesus with the city of Riverside. 

  • Raise up the next generation of kingdom leaders. 

  • Be a launchpad for other ministries and healthy, reproducing churches. 

  • Become even more effective at our mission of inviting people to take their next steps with Jesus.

Our Plan

We intend to accomplish all 4 phases of development as quickly as we can - aiming for 2 years between initiating construction phases, if possible. Our development timelines below are estimates that are directly related to our capital-raising efforts. Learn more below about how you can invest in our vision by giving financially.

Phase 1: GET HERE

Completed in February 2023. Stone Arbor has purchased the land, restored 2 existing building on our campus, and renovated the parking lot. We now utilize the campus to host our administrative operations, church events, trainings and more.

Phase 2: WORSHIP HERE

Completion of this phase will allow us to host our Sunday morning worship gatherings on the property. We will build the next multi-purpose building for worship other programming, and construct upper parking lot.

EQUITY (est.): $3 million. Sourced by supporters (50-100%) or refinanced equity (50-100%).

Phase 3: REACH OUT

In this phase we will build the primary Worship Center building with 330 seats, develop interior courtyard, outdoor event lawn and all parking. Worship building will include preschool-age and nursery rooms.

EQUITY: $6 million. Sourced by supporters (24%), refinanced equity and loan (76%).

CONSTRUCTION TIMELINE: Complete Phase 3 by 2026.

Phase 4: BUILD OUT

This phase will allow us to better serve Stone Arbor Kids and expand our capacity for all. In phase 4 we will expand the existing KidZone building and build additional Preschool-age and Nursery building. Expand worship center seating capacity to 600.

EQUITY: $2 million. Sourced by supporters (75%) and loan (25%).

CONSTRUCTION TIMELINE: Complete Phase 4 by 2028.
